Technical Safety Specialist
Responsibilities
Reporting to the local Senior EHS Manager, your role and responsibilities include:
Check and ensure safety complies with applicable laws, regulations, global safety excellent program, and obligations.
Review and implement process hazard analysis(PHA) to eliminate, minimize and control process risks.
Conduct and summarize safety inspection/observation and process safety improvement programs to build safe behaviors and awareness.
Prepare and conduct technical safety & process safety management training to minimize risks from processes and increase safe behaviors of employees and contractors.
Implement technical safety and process safety work plans, activities following global safety strategic program, and supervise team on implementation.
Support and coordinate with relevant functions to ensure safe operations, maintenance, and installations activities
Monitor and maintain plant emergency preparedness and response activities.
Support and comply with Quality/ Food Safety Management System and regulatory compliance.
Follow all environmental health and safety regulations, procedures, safe works practices, and concerns about the environmental impact.
Requirements
In addition to your educational achievements, as the successful candidate for the position of Safety Specialist, you must also have at least 8 years of relevant experience in similar industries. Other qualifications we are looking for:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene &Safety or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in working in chemical plants.
Familiar with PSM, ISO45001, ISO 14001, and Food Safety (GMP, HACCP, Halal, Kosher, and FSC).
Concrete experience in Process Safety Management, Process Hazard Analysis, safety review/HAZOP/HAZAN, firefighting, emergency response, critical equipment, process safety.
Good understanding of safety & environmental standards, Thai EHS laws relating to construction and plant operations including OSHA and EPA standards.
Hold professional safety officer license and pollution control supervisor licenses (air, wastewater, and waste)
Experienced in working in multi-disciplinary project teams in a multi-cultural setting
Very good interpersonal skills, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities, team player, and strong communicator
Good command of both written and spoken English
