Job Description:
Support LTE Optimization efforts for various projects
analyse and provide optimization suggestion based on drive test logs
Acquire network data and information
RF optimization and system performance engineering for a LTE network
Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding service
Configure systems and add new equipment to the networks; turn on, integrate and optimize new cells sites
Interface with all levels of management and collaborate with other groups
Perform design and performance activities in customer projects
Perform Network Planning
Perform Initial Tuning
Perform Network and/or Node Reviews/Audits
Analyse performance of networks elements and see if changes (software or hardware changes)
Implement recommendations for network optimization improvement
Undertake networks performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks
Manage a small group of people
Technical skills
As a LTE Optimization Engineer - your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Job Qualifications and Requirements :
5 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry.
At least 2 year in LTE optimization.
At least 3 year in UMTS optimization.
Good expertise in Radio Network Design & Tuning Tools.
Good knowledge of Radio Network Dimensioning/Coverage Design.
Radio Functionality and cell parameters.
Network Traffic Modelling.
Network Performance (KPI) based on Field Measurement and on Systems Measurements.
Mapping Tools and Data Formats (Mapinfo, GoogleEarth).
Radio Network Design Processes & Methods.
Radio Network Traffic/Capacity.
Multi-Layer (carrier)management.
Optimization and Post processing tools.
Service Quality for Radio Networks.
Wireless End-to-end Performance.
WCDMA/LTE Handover and Cell Reselection.
Good knowledge in RNC/MME parameters.
Analysis of drive test data and recommendations.
ZTE equipment knowledge would be preferred.
