Quality Engineer - Assembly
(Rayong)
Job Description:
- Quality Engineer has the key role of coordinating Quality and Production team in ensuring the quality performance and the respect of the quality standards in the Assembly process, driving improvement actions and projects.
- Manage independently a team >20HC;
- Work with SQM team and the suppliers on incoming material quality for assembly line;
- Responsible for the process quality of assembly line, including but not limited to abnormality handling, analysis, instrumental testing and each process improvement;
- Responsible for the outgoing quality of finished frame, as well as customer feedback and complaint handling;
- Coordinate for the QC team daily work arrangement, performance improvement and team development;
- Responsible of analyzing and handling the quality issues or production defects, investigating their root causes, defining corrective and preventive actions, and working closely with production team to improve the quality KPIs;
- Implement defect rate, extra consumption and cost reduction projects for continuous improvement;
- Provide analysis and reporting on the Quality KPIs and performance;
- Definition of Quality SOP and Working Instructions;
- Make sure that Safety and 5S principles are followed in the quality team working environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years+ experience in Quality and in team management
- Good English written and spoken communication
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software package
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Eyesight above 1.0, without farsightedness or color blindness
- Logical Thinking, Problem Solving Attitude, Target Oriented Mindset and Capability to work independently
- Previous experience in Quality department in eyewear industry, assembly processes or injection molding;
- Familiar with common quality tools, six sigma knowledge or project management experience preferred.
- Experience with optical measurement equipment, tool, jig and optical instruments/inspection tools;
- SAP system knowledge
