Job purpose:
Presenting and selling available and suitable banquet / event options to the highest possible standard.
Responsible for sales target of banquet / event.
Responding to all banquet / event inquiries in a prompt and professional manner, assisting clients on options best suited to both the client's needs and the resort's successful operation while providing excellent service.
Ensure that clients have a positive experience, taking necessary steps to correct deficiencies.
Deal effectively with departments and maintain regular communication.
Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve daily targets, whilst offering a very high level of Customer Service.
Key Accountabilities:
Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs and be able to close sales.
Coordinate with clients and Marketing & Sales team to have effective outcome / result.
Point of contact between resort and clients: answering queries, offering advice and introducing resort's product.
Negotiate the best deal and complete standard operation procedure with client.
Liaising with clients from the beginning to the end, and also attending the event to ensure that it goes smoothly.
Planning wedding or event in conjunction with wedding planner and the client.
Coordinate and contact suppliers to support and full field the wedding event.
Coordinate with 3rd parties / partners / suppliers / organizers.
Work closely with Marketing and Sales Manager to optimize schedule and business options.
Work closely with F&B team to ensure proper service and coverage.
Work closely with Main Kitchen team to ensure proper service and coverage.
Work closely with Operations team to ensure proper service and coverage.
Lead event's arrangement, preparations, rehearsal and all required materials.
Confirm in writing to the client, all affected resort departments and suppliers all client's requirements via contract, addendum and/or memorandum.
Develop Banquet Event Order after summarize all event details with clients and distribute proper tasks and responsibilities to proper departments to ensure well preparations and operation flow smoothly on event date.
Responsible for all invoices issuing and settlement process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field is required.
Experienced Wedding Sales Manager/Asst. Manager in a four/five stars Hotel or Exhibition Hall.
5 years of experience in organizing and managing events, including corporate meetings, trainings, luncheons, weddings, and other special occasions.
Have excellent interpersonal skill among team, cross functions and partners as well as organizational skills.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
High-energy and creative individuals.
High responsibility, Self-discipline, Flexible, Fast learning, Eager to learn new thing, Teamwork, Positive thinking, can work under pressure and hard working.
Having an understanding of the Hotel market, including all aspects of conference and events.
Good presentation skills.
A strong individual with the skills set and experience to work within the sales team.
Can reach the clients by satisfactory and professional method.
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, hotel software program)
Knowledge of hotel operations.
Good command of spoken & written in English.
