Chief Operating Officer - Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer or COO to oversee the organization's operations and procedures. You will be the company's second-in-command and responsible for business efficiency.

The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You'll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so our client expects you to be an experienced and efficient leader.

As the Chief Operating Officer are one of the highest-level executives in the company, and his/her duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

  • Develop operational plans that promote long-term success and growth.

  • Responsible for establishing the production work's strategy and designing and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures.

  • Control the cost of the production process to bring about the product competitive.

  • Control the quality of products to be in line with the market demand.

  • Set the direction of the company's vision and policy and manage workforces in the field following the specified objectives and goals.

  • Monitor day-to-day operational systems and recommend solutions for improvement if necessary.

  • Monitor the productivity of different departments and create individual performance reviews.

  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives.

  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.

  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)

    Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in food science, engineering, or other related fields

  • Have 15 years of experience in job-related fields in the food industry field as a Plant or Manufacturing Manager with previous experience in managing daily plant operations, encompassing production, maintenance & engineering, Process / CI, and warehouse departments.

  • Have previous experience with food manufacturing, preferably with knowledge of improvement tools such as Six Sigma / Lean.

  • Solid planning and administrative skills, competent and well-versed in modern administration, and outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.

  • Have good skills in negotiation, sales negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.

  • Good command of English and Thai languages, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Able to work in Southern Thailand.
