CNC Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and produce custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support machining and assembly operations.
• Review 3D designs, engineering drawings, and product samples to ensure readiness for CNC machining processes.
• Generate machining programs, cutting parameters, tooling lists, and run simulations to validate production readiness.
• Create clear setup sheets, work instructions, and reference data to guide CNC machines.
• Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (such as SolidWorks and Mastercam) for multi-axis lathes and 5-axis milling machines.
• Collaborate with team leaders and machine operators to ensure proper execution of programs.
• Assist in training and skill development of CNC department personnel.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce setup time, scrap, and increase production efficiency.
• Ensure all programs meet blueprint specifications and safety standards.
• Follow up on quality, process, and design-related corrective actions.
• Continuously evaluate and refine machining processes to achieve optimal cycle times and reduce waste.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable safety guidelines and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining and process engineering.
• Proficiency in CNC programming (e.g., G-code) and CAD/CAM software.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
• Experience with 5-axis CNC machines is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
