About this role
This role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all LEM and LSS Chemical business segments in Thailand, including Additives and Advanced Materials, and is responsible for the overall performance and growth of Lubrizol's business in Thailand.
This role will also focus on driving sustainable growth, fostering innovation, and ensuring Chemical's continued market leadership in Thailand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Country Leader Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Oversee all company operations in Thailand, ensuring alignment with global/regional strategies and local market needs across all segments.
- Government Relations: Establish local government relations to ensure regulatory compliance, and leveraging market opportunities to support the overall growth objectives and strategic initiatives set by the SEA Sub-Region Growth Leader.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate across business segments and functions to ensure integrated efforts towards business success and customer satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company's policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial performance of the Thailand business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with the business operations in Thailand.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts, analyze performance metrics, and present findings and recommendations to regional and global senior management.
Commercial Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed the sales targets and business objectives for all business segments in Thailand.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers across all segments, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring efficient and effective sales operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide direct reports, ensuring their professional development and performance alignment with organizational goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferably in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is highly desirable.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the chemical or additives industry.
- Country Management Experience: Proven track record of managing business operations within Thailand, including experience in both Additives and Advanced Materials segments is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:
- Multilingual Capability: Proficiency in English and Thai is required.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel within Thailand and occasionally within the SEA region as needed.
- Local Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Thai market, including local business practices, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
