Job Purpose:
The Supply Chain Manager leads in the areas of forecasting demand and supply; capacity planning, plan and meet customer demand; placement and monitoring of production orders; management of raw material purchasing; oversee logistics department and providing excellent customer service.

Also responsible to lead and manage projects to reduce overall costs of delivering product to market through process improvement and technology.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop team of Thailand based Demand and Supply Planners, Raw material purchasers, Logistics department and Customer Service staff.
  • Responsible for working with Bloch owned and outsourced operations teams to ensure planning and
    order fulfillment requirements are met. o Drive solutions which will allow Bloch to meet scheduled order timelines.
  • Manage production planning: coordinate forecast with leadership team, develop demand and supply
    plans, monitor actual purchase order against plan, and communicate to all required parties.
  • Clearly present business risks to senior management with potential solutions and financial impact.
    • Demand requirements for 1-5 years out.
    • Development of strategic sourcing plan.
  • Evaluate and report on manufacturing capacities, delivery performance, shipment quality, and inventory
    • Establish and maintain Thailand inventory levels for replenishment models.
    • Conduct on-going development of inventory strategies to determine cost-effective use of inventory.
    • Investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting service level targets.
  • Develop detailed understanding of customer's logistical and operational planning to drive greater alignment with Bloch's processes.
  • Plan critical spend items like airfreight to optimize customer service while minimizing incremental cost.
  • Work with Finance to develop, monitor and report on departmental budget.
    • Optimize the flow of product through the supply chain.
  • Establish and maintain supportive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal partners. o Ensure effective communication of strategies and tactical issues. o Support customer request to have purchase orders delivered in-full and on time at the lowest possible cost to both Bloch and our customers.
    • Review and manage planning tools from both process and technology perspectives.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years' experience of supply chain team leadership within the footwear manufacturing industry.
  • University degree level education in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement or similar area.
  • Experience of using MRP/ERP software (SAP, Microsoft NAVision, etc) as part of a daily routine both in terms of data input and report creation.
  • Training and/or experience in LEAN process initiatives (Sigma6, etc) desirable.
  • Experience of managing a large and culturally diverse team.
  • A critical thinker and analytical approach to problem solving. The ability to devise and implement creative solutions.
  • Good command of English spoken and written skills. Thai language spoken skills desirable but not essential, Thai written skills not required.
