Head of Warehouse & Logistics

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Warehouse & Logistics to lead and manage all aspects of our warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and implementing systems for logistics, transportation, and warehouse management to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for warehouse and logistics operations.
- Set objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and targets for the department.
- Ensure alignment of warehouse and logistics operations with overall business goals.
Warehouse Management:
- Oversee the setup and organization of the warehouse to optimize space utilization and efficiency.
- Implement inventory control procedures to maintain accuracy and minimize losses.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
Logistics and Transportation:
- Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to streamline supply chain processes.
- Manage transportation operations, including route planning, fleet management, and transportation cost control.
System Implementation
- Set up and implement advanced logistics, transportation, and warehouse management systems.
- Integrate technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, train, and develop the warehouse and logistics team to achieve high performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Cost Management and Efficiency:
- Monitor and control operational costs to improve profitability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and materials.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all warehouse and logistics activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
