Goal of the Position:

  • Make business growth with Key account customers and maintain and expand relationship with strategically important customers and responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives

  • The KAM represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while ensuring assigned customers' needs and expectations are met by the company

Role and Responsibility:

  • Leading and develop local Key Account Team

  • Develop and implement sales strategy to achieve or exceed Key Account sales budget

  • Identify markets and product opportunities for company products and services within the Key Account

  • Ability to lead negotiations, understand tactics, and develop commercial and technical solutions

  • Interpersonal and Intercultural abilities to build personal relationships inside and outside company

  • Manages the Customer/Company relationship on all levels and decision makers on both sides

  • Develop strategic plan to increase market share at the Key Account, Ability to analyze complex information, draw correct conclusions and involve all stakeholders within company and the Key Account to implement strategy

  • Ability to steer and motivate peers to support Key Account strategy while clearly communicating customer information internally

  • Ensure that company understands the Key Account's business strategies and that company speaks the language of the customer

  • Maintain accurate reports and records as well as review customer sales activity of the Key Account, Address any sales/budget deficiencies directly with the Key Account and develop action plan

  • Respond to customer inquiries and orders in a timely and professional manner


  • University degree, ideally with a technical background (e.g. mechanical/electrical engineering, business administration and engineering)

  • Worked as KAM for 5 years or longer in the fields or market sales or mechanical engineering

  • Demonstrated success increasing sales and developing new customers

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and resolve issues

  • Excellent sales presentation skills

  • Positive motivator and professional role model

  • Native Japanese speaking preferred

  • Good commanding in English

  • Willingness to travel

  • Ability to work under tight timelines and collaborate with colleagues in collegial way
