POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for lead in monitoring parameter and quality result as well as provide & guide technical solutions to operations for optimizing capability and efficiency of fermentation process, providing data relate to basic of design and conceptual engineering to project, lead in process safety review and risk assessment, qualification process of raw material and trial run for fermentation process. Focal point for knowledge exchange with Technology team.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Monitor production and related control parameters to ensure the fermentation process is safe and reliable as well as the productions quality meet required standards.
Provide effective troubleshooting / solutions to resolve problems in fermentation process.
Lead trial implementation of technology in pilot scale to provide proof for lab-scale technology including qualification process of raw material and trial run for fermentation process.
Lead on improvement yield and optimize condition of fermentation on high productivity and effectiveness.
Analyze / Observation / Optimize parameter and performance trend to provide preventive solutions to the fermentation process and make recommendations to management team.
Develop and Maintain microorganism library.
Develop new or improve existing culture medium for microbial strains.
Develop new or improve existing fermentation process parameters such as fed batch or other related feeding strategies.
Develop SOPs for all fermentation processes. Independently selects techniques and procedures to solve problem within area of responsibility.
Develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and productivity of fermentation process.
Coach and provide guidance to team in technical process to ensure team have adequate technique and solution to undertake and complete assignment in effectively manner.
Focal point for knowledge exchange with internal and external organization and generate best proven technology implementation in fermentation process to optimize process performance.
Analyze data related to the basics of design and developing conceptual engineering to complete project under accountability as planned.
Collaborate with Production team to process development standards or methods to quality teams to identify problems or opportunities improvements.
Assists in managing the daily workflow of the laboratory.
Provide training in the fermentation process for internal employees.
Perform related work and other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum master's degree or PhD in science in Microbiology, Biotechnology or Microbial Technology, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
5-10 years of directly related experience in fermentation industrial process activities.
Experience with fermentation bug development and optimization including demonstration parameters, nutrient package, and genetic modifications.
Knowledge of Safety and Quality System e.g., HAZOP, EHS, ISO9001, ISO45001, etc. is an advantage.
Computer skills must be proficient using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good command of spoken and written Thai and English.
Able to work based in Nakhonsawan province.
