Purpose:
Under Lean Manufacturing concepts, oversee a company's material management level of inventory and stock supplies meeting targets, collaborate with engineers and designers targets, collaborate with engineers and designers to determine the materials needed to ensuring the adequacy of materials needed for manufacturing or other operations, responsible for maintaining the inventory of those materials once they arrive.
Also oversees the receiving procedures for warehouse and meets with suppliers and third-party vendors, negotiating contracts that would fit the budget goals of the company without compromising quality.

General duties as directed by management
Principal Accountability:
Direct all warehouse functions for manufacturing facility including, shipping/receiving, material movement, production planning, and inventory accuracy
Expedite and project manage materials, heavy contact with vendors and clients to coordinate shipments of materials
Initiate forecasting for buyers to manage incoming inventory
Manage all incoming domestic and overseas products and materials
Manage cross functional team across purchasing department consisting of buyers and master scheduler
Manage supply and logistics network integral in ensuring customer orders maintain and ship in timely
Implement inventory control process to reduce inventory errors and improve inventory accuracy in the ERP system
Create weekly schedules for the shipping department and responsible for inventory control of all WIP material, warehouse facility
Manage contact with suppliers and preparation and delivering of orders that were made by customers
Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements
Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery
Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increases quantity
Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory
Search for new materials, vendors, and processes to ensure optimum quality, value and reliability
Ensure material acquisition and storage comply with company and government guidelines
Work hand-in-hand with other managers and unit heads within the company to dertermine the supply needs
Other general duties as directed by Management
Qualification:
Bachelor or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other relevant business related discipline (or working towards such a qualification) would be highly regarded
At least 5 years of experience in a unit or position in which procurement and suppliers are handled
Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes
Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
Must possess excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Time Management and Organization / Planning skills
Thorough understanding of the processes involved in the ordering, procurement, and delivering of supplies
Ability to work within a busy team environment and extremely reliable and punctual
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing process flow
Good command of listening, spoken and written English
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 preferred
