Responsibility:

  • Oversees the integration of the PDCA cycle and Lean Six Sigma principles into the QHSE management systems, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensures the organization's compliance with relevant QHSE standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, and API Q1 & Q2 QMS standards, emphasizing not just adherence but also the development of best practices within the oil and gas industry.
  • Manages the design and implementation of QHSE policies, programs, and initiatives that contribute to the company's strategic objectives.
  • Strategic QHSE System Development: Utilizes the PDCA cycle and Lean Six Sigma techniques to enhance QHSE processes, aiming for zero incidents and operational excellence.
  • Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Drives the achievement and maintenance of QHSE certifications, fostering an environment of continuous improvement through regular audits, risk assessments, and adherence to evolving standards.
  • Risk Management and Process Efficiency: Applies Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify, assess, and mitigate QHSE risks, optimizing processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Empowerment: Develops comprehensive training programs based on Lean Six Sigma and PDCA principles, empowering employees to contribute to QHSE objectives actively.
  • Incident Management and Innovation: Leads a responsive and innovative approach to incident management, ensuring comprehensive investigations, learning, and system improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership: Engages with internal and external stakeholders to promote the organization's QHSE values, leading by example in the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification in QHSE management systems and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience with ISO and API Q1 & Q2 QMS standards, with a minimum of 5 years in QHSE management within a relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated success in applying PDCA and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to QHSE systems.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to drive change across the organization.
