Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is seeking a skilled Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of their company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, logistics systems, and directing daily operations to maximize efficiency and minimize the cost of the company's supply chain.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Management: Ensure efficient transportation modes, routing, loads, and right carriers, maintaining on-time delivery schedules to fulfill customer orders completely.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the transportation team, oversee transportation providers, and effectively communicate with sales representatives and clients to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Fleet Oversight: Administer and maintain control over the fleet's condition and readiness to meet all delivery requirements promptly.
  • Incident Handling: Manage and resolve incidents involving lost or damaged goods during transportation to minimize losses.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with transportation and routing to ensure they align with the financial objectives of the business.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess the performance of transportation providers, review operational results, and ensure all service providers adhere to the company's standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Provider Selection: Choose transportation providers based on a balanced assessment of cost efficiency and service quality to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously plan and reassess logistics processes to enhance organizational effectiveness and the potential for future growth.
  • Admin Unit Supervision: Oversee the Admin unit responsible for the accurate and timely processing of receiving and dispatching finished goods.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, supply chain management, or a similar role with proven managerial experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficient in managing all logistical aspects, including shipping and transportation.
    • Deep understanding of the legal issues and safety standards of logistics.
    • Proficient in database management and logistics software.
