RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to all Engineering department included Product development (New/current product), Launch, Mass production, Process improvement, Mechanical drawing, Line layout, VA/VE, BOM, APQP, PPAP, Business development etc.
To utilize Key Performance Indicators to maintain production standards and drive continuous improvement to improve overall line performance, part quality and profitability.
Help to respond and drive permanent resolution to any customer issues, both internal and external.
Help to ensure program metrics are met as they relate to quality, equipment cycle time, cost and overall program timing.
Interact directly with customer engineers to ensure all program expectations are met as required.
Maintain 'Master Timeline" on programs and ensure that it is updated bi-weekly through life of the programs.
Help to develop and maintain APQP (CPMP) open issues list which will be used to track and bring to closer all issues which surround specific programs.
Help to maintain "Program Status Matrix" for assembly and all component parts on specific programs.
Interact directly with all suppliers ensuring that they are meeting their timing and quality requirements.
Help to co-ordinate launch activities with Production and Materials departments to ensure smooth transition from PSO and SOP and into daily production.
Help maintain Continuous Improvement Program with help of other departments and assign Engineers.
Utilizing continuous improvement methods, driven by Key Performance Indicators, it is the responsibility of the Assistant Engineering Manager to offset annual cost/price reductions through process improvement.
Work with minimal supervision.
Ensure that he/she is in full compliance of the laws of Thailand and/or any other location while representing company.
Work within the guidelines of the company Ethical Business Standards.

Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safety in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Preferred in engineering discipline or equivalent in work experience.
Minimum 10 years' experience in Engineering department while working within the automotive industry.
Thorough knowledge of product design techniques, mechanical drawing standards and GD&T.
Good command of both writing and speaking English.
Effective communication skills both within the company and dealing directly with customers and suppliers.
Working knowledge of standard program management tools and Microsoft computer programs.
Capable of using standard measuring equipment, Vernier calipers, micrometers and have working knowledge of proper use of checking fixtures and attribute gauges.
