Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Translator with fluency in both Thai and Chinese to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be with at least 3 years of experience in translation, particularly in the construction or real estate development industry. You will play a critical role in facilitating communication between Thai and Chinese teams, ensuring that all project-related materials are accurately translated between Thai and Chinese.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Translation: Translate technical documents, contracts, reports, and other relevant materials from Thai to Chinese and Chinese to Thai, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the meaning and intent of the original content.
- Verbal Interpretation: Provide real-time verbal translation during meetings, site visits, and other discussions between Thai and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Construction/Real Estate Focus: Translate specialized terminology and concepts related to construction and real estate development projects, ensuring that all technical details are clearly understood by both parties.
- Communication Bridge: Act as the main point of contact to facilitate smooth communication between the Thai and Chinese project teams.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ensure that the translations respect cultural nuances and business practices of both Thailand and China, especially in a construction and development setting.
- Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to support translation needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Proofreading: Review and proofread translated documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity before final submission.
Required Qualifications:
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Thai and Chinese (spoken and written).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience, preferably within the construction or real estate development sector.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality, accurate translations.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with terminology and concepts in construction, engineering, and real estate development projects.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple translation tasks and prioritize deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams.
