Engineering Manager (Pre-opening) - Hospitality
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and ensure compliance of MEP, air conditioning, sanitary, and environmental systems.
- Oversee the Automatic Parking System and ensure its proper functionality.
- Recruit, train, and develop the Engineering team, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication during the pre-opening phase.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for all engineering systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of engineering facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage budgetary requirements for engineering projects and maintenance activities.
- Liaise with contractors and vendors to oversee project timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to engineering processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Lead pre-opening engineering activities, including system testing, commissioning, and final inspections to ensure readiness for launch.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- Professional Engineering certification (e.g., PE or equivalent).
- Proven experience in hotel or residential engineering management is a plus.
- Pre-opening experience in hospitality projects, demonstrating the ability to manage timelines and coordinate multiple engineering tasks effectively.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project management software and engineering design tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the pre-opening phase.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management is a plus.
