Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the consistency and accuracy of payables, receivables, fixed assets, general ledger, and statutory books in compliance with legal and group requirements.
Validate the completeness and accuracy of month-end closing and yearly submissions related to statutory financial statements, including joint venture (JV) validation and posting processes.
Coordinate with Group Business Services (GBS) in China on payables, receivables, and general ledger matters, including supporting document submission and monthly reconciliation.
Prepare and review finance and accounting reports for local plant analysis and group consolidation; perform an analytical review of actual Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS).
Validate figures related to payables, receivables, fixed assets, and general ledger accounts in Hyperion Sustainability.
Provide guidance for payables, receivables, fixed assets, and transfer pricing archives and documentation.
Ensure coherence between data used by Financial Planning and Analysis sections and the legal books of accounts.
Organize periodic fixed assets physical counting as per local and group standards.
Manage the fixed assets scrapping process with relevant stakeholders and external audits.
Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise for finance and accounting functions.
Ensure that finance and accounting processes comply with company policies and procedures.
Manage finance and accounting-related internal controls to ensure compliance with local and IFRS standards.
Coordinate with the accounting auditor and revenue department regarding statutory and accounting compliance matters.
Propose process/system improvements to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Responsible for the implementation of company policies and procedures in their area of work, as well as with their subordinates (where applicable).
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred).
Expert knowledge of basic accounting standards (Local GAAP and IFRS).
Strong understanding of accounting and local tax laws, especially statutory-related matters.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of submodules in Oracle/SAP.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
