Head of Compliance

Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Department: Compliance & Risk Management

Position Summary


The company is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Compliance to lead its compliance function. The Head of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those set by the Bank of Thailand (BOT), and for maintaining a strong culture of integrity and risk awareness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Bank of Thailand (BOT) and other regulatory authorities.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company's compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including AML/CFT, PDPA, FATCA, and Basel standards.
  • Advise senior management and the Board of Directors on regulatory risks and compliance strategies.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, internal audits, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for all staff.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's operations.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and breaches.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Risk, Audit, Operations) to ensure integrated compliance practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience working with or within Bank of Thailand (BOT) regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai financial regulations, AML/CFT laws, and international compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Thai and English (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Experience in a foreign bank or cross-border financial institution is a plus.
