Responsibilities
1 Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management.
2 Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management.
3 Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy changes to improve numbers.
4 Classify costs accurately.
5 Generate PPV reports and analyze findings.
6 Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate.
7 Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets.
8 Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors.
Requirements
1 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
2 6+ years' experience in general accounting or cost accounting
3 General familiarity with the apparel industry preferred.
4 Experience in a manufacturing a plus
