Plant Head (200K) Rayong
Job Objective
To be accountable for delivering on plan for production, assets capacity, manufacturing costs while maintaining quality standards
To be responsible for adherence on the production plan, production output, product quality, and on-time delivery
Primary responsibilities/Strategic and planning
Deliver on plan for production, assets capacity, manufacturing costs while maintaining quality standards
Monitor operations as per production plan and trigger corrective actions
Functional/Operations Management
Oversee all systems and processes around capsule manufacturing, packing and printing
Track and optimize productivity of the plant. Support the Operations Head and CI&TT head in implementing improvements
Ensure adherence to standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Ensure cost optimizations to the extent possible (gelatin wastage, power, water, and manpower) in operations
Ensure adherence to quality standards for all products and processes
Maintain budget volume of products as per plan and quality norms
Propose opportunities for increase in productivity in machines
Oversee inventory control of raw materials and finished good products
Resource Management
Oversee the resource allocation at the plant for optimum day-to-day operations
Ensure adherence to delivery on production plan, production output, product quality, and on-time delivery
Fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Monitor machine running costs in the plant and ensure budgets are adhered to
Supply Chain Management
Ensure adherence of quality standards of key processes of purchase, logistics, planning and stores
Review and approve negotiated prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders
Ensure timely dispatch as per sales order
Ensure appropriate follow up and escalation in case of delays in material delivery or in dispatch
EHS, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering Services
Ensure continued compliance with environmental and safety laws and regulations
Review safety initiatives to promote and enhance safe workplace and the well-being of employees
Identify needs relating to improvements in safety/ergonomics and developing and implementing solutions to these issues
Review data and analyze the same to identify improvement opportunities
Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements machines and systems are undertaken
Ensure that plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
Internal Processes
Collect and analyze data to find cost saving opportunities
Sign off on plant planning of resources and machines as required
Liaison with EHS head to ensure adherence to plant safety procedures
Liaison with Central SCM to understand the production requirements
Ensure correct plant resource allocation
People development
Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in-house capabilities for the employees in the department
Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles
Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall employee engagement and motivation
Support capability development programs of ACPL and by identifying and recommending the training areas
