Procurement Manager Position:
Responsibility:
Purchase Management:
Manage the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures.
Manage the demand flow environment.
Establish purchasing objectives for the entire Company and ensure that these objectives are made known and followed.
Undertake major contract negotiations and achieve targeted purchase price.
Approves orders and conducts contract negotiations.
Develop plans to reduce total number of suppliers.
Cost Reduction:
Develop alternative suppliers and renegotiate supply contracts with a goal to reduce cost.
Ensure the goods, materials and services purchased meet the quality standards specified.
Ensure goods and services procured in accordance with specified requirements are delivered at the right quantity and at the right price.
Review purchases and investigate sources of supply from both local and overseas markets.
Work with Engineering to minimise the cost of parts in new and existing designs.
People Management:
Coach and mentor the team to work effectively.
Provide regular performance review feedback on a timely basis on managing the work performance to the agreed annual objectives.
Develop individual employees in accordance with the agreed work plan.
Ensure the purchasing working environment meets the OH&S requirements.
Implement a lean management system with the support of the purchasing team.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain or any related field.
Preferred experience in manufacturing environment from Multinational Company.
Good data analytical skillset.
Experience with logistics / project management / Production planning would be plus.
Understand drawing and engineering change.
Good English communication both verbal and written.
