Production Manager (Powder Coat) - Automotive in Rayong

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire powder coating process, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet automotive standards.
• Oversee daily operations of powder coat line including surface preparation, coating application, curing, and inspection.
• Monitor and control key production parameters (temperature, thickness, coverage, etc.) to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for powder coat equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure quick resolution to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with quality, production, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for powder coating operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Lead and develop the powder coat team to enhance technical capability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or related fields).
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years in powder coat operations or management roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of powder coat process, materials, and equipment.
• Proactive, confident, and hands-on personality with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication in both Thai and English (spoken and written).
• Familiar with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Characteristics:

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and process optimization.
• Strong team leader who can motivate and mentor subordinates.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with international OEM standards or Tier 1 automotive supplier environment is a plus.
