Roles and Responsibilities:
Serves customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. Able to explain complex technical information to vendor, customers and clients, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems.
- Good understanding of different types of cranes, their capabilities, and their applications is essential. Sales representatives should be able to explain the features and benefits of their products to potential customers.
- Experience in sales, particularly in a related industry or within the crane industry, can be a significant advantage. Experience demonstrates an ability to understand customer needs and close deals.
- For companies selling complex crane systems, technical knowledge is crucial. Sales representatives should understand the engineering aspects of cranes, safety regulations, and maintenance requirements.
- Understanding the market for cranes in a specific region is important. Knowledge of competitors, market trends, and potential clients can help in formulating effective sales strategies.
- The ability to work toward and meet sales targets and goals is often a requirement for sales representatives. This role is typically results-driven.
- Sales representatives in the crane business often need to travel to meet clients and attend industry events. Having the ability and willingness to travel is important.
- Contact vendor, RFQ, pricing, evaluating and compare products from various aspect prior purchasing to meet TOS/client requirement.
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
- Ensure follow up with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, and so on.
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
- Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.
- Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits and other events.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
- Minimum 5 years++ of experience in sales is a must.
- Experience in oil & gas business is preferred.
- Native English speaker / TOEIC score of 750 or higher.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
