Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of new molds, machines, and peripheral equipment to ensure successful project launches that meet internal process capabilities and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams during customer discussions to bring developed products to market.
- Coordinate feasibility studies for new inquiries, stock localization, and NPD projects with sales and finance teams.
- Enhance existing products and services to better meet customer needs.
- Implement and support workflow processes within internal teams.
- Assist in manufacturing process improvement, quality enhancement, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with technical teams, including Technical Domain Experts (TDE) and Technology Process Community (TPC), to adhere to Aptar process standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Lead and support teams in negotiating mutual NDAs and collaboration agreements for new projects.
- Manage project lifecycle from initiation to defect-free delivery to customers.
- Oversee test and trial scopes within projects and lead technical negotiations with partners and subcontractors.
- Initiate and manage cost-saving projects.
- Utilize Aptar and Portfolio Management (APPM) in PLANISWARE (PLW) for project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or higher in Engineering.
- 5 years experience in plastic engineering or packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, packaging development and product development.
- Knowledgeable in product development, project execution, new product launches, and localization.
- Understanding of Injection Molding (IM), Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM), or Injection-Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) principles.
- Strong leadership and time management skills with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of cost drivers, margins, and landing factors.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Project.
- Positive attitude, willingness to work overtime, and adaptability to different time zones.
- Service mindset with a flexible approach to changing work environments and travel requirements.
