Supplier Quality Development Engineer

Job Description:
- The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for initiating and managing improvement projects at supplier sites to meet with our Supplier.
- This role focuses on transforming lessons learned into suitable preventive action after 8D problem solving report completed to increase supplier capability for delivery and cost.
- Ensure supplier engineering change notice (ECN) and process change engineering change request (ECR) well controllable, approve and prevent any issue during running change
- Supplier quality improvement project from customer complaints and high severity impact.
- Lead improvement project 8D problem resolution with supplier.
- Review comment and approve 8D by process audit at supplier site.
- Manage supplier quality project improvement to ensure supplier complete on time and meet with target.
- Supplier top worst program development.
- Lead improvement for overall project relates with supplier top worst score.
- Review comment and approve 8D by process audit at supplier site.
- Manage supplier quality project improvement to ensure supplier complete on time and meet with target.
- Supplier technical assistant support.
- Assist technical data to supplier and coordinate with engineering team to discuss any concerns.
- Coaching/training sessions to build supplier capability and compliance with company standards such as (8D report, Spec, Drawing standard and specific test requirement).
- External audit support related to supplier and incoming quality activities.
- To be the main primary attendance with external audits at company plant as a quality for supplier-related topics.
- Prepare documentation and assist in audit readiness and closure of audit finding
- Supplier annual audit
- Set up plan for annual audit for local suppliers and oversea suppliers
- Audit following audit check list and audit scheduled on time.
- Issue audit finding report to supplier and relevant cross functional teams.
- Follow up audit results, improvement plan, review, approve and feedback to supplier.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering fields.
- 3-5 years in supplier quality, supplier development, or engineering (preferably electronics, appliances, or automotive).
- Experience in Supplier Quality Management, IATF16949/ISO14001, QMS Audits, Process Audits.
- Strong foundation in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5-Why
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, especially in an international context.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Fluent knowledge 8D problem solving method and able to be a trainer.
- Fluent knowledge drawing interpretation as basic dimension and GD&T.
- Fluent knowledge Quality Core tools; APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plan, QC 7 Tools.
- Fluent working with MS Office such Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Fluent working with quality software such Minitab, Pareto, Control Charts, etc.
- Fluent skill of negotiation, interpersonal, organized as a planned and conflict resolution skills.
- Fluent communication skills, easy interpretation and right decision making
